5 Helpful Tips to Overcome Procrastination

-Write your dreams and goals down. Habakkuk 2:2 reminds us to write the vision and make it plain. Post your goals and dreams in a place where you can see them daily, so you never lose sight of them. Consider getting a vision board that will help to also keep you inspired and focused.

-Create a realistic plan and a clear strategy to achieve your goals. A dream without a plan is just a wish. If your dreams don't scare you, then you are not dreaming big enough. Activate your faith and seek God's wisdom, direction and guidance towards achieving your goals.

-Take intentional and deliberate action. Implement effective time management, as you take tangible steps towards your dreams. Break your goals into manageable timeframes such as daily, weekly or monthly goals. Be careful not to tackle more than you can handle at one time, as this will only create false expectations and frustration. Celebrate small milestones to acknowledge your progress and encourage yourself throughout the journey.

-Ask for help and seek the expertise of others where needed. It is impossible to do everything on your own. Don't stop because you don't know how to do something. Leverage your strengths and identify your weaknesses. Find someone who has the expertise you lack, who can help propel your dreams to new level.

-Don't allow roadblocks to kill your momentum. See your challenges as opportunities to soar and rise above defeat. Surround yourself with a healthy network of people who will always be there to cheer you on. Your goals and dreams are too valuable to lie dormant. Keep going no matter what! Don't give up!
